Winter Animals was founded in Oakland CA based on a love of psychedelic soundscapes and pretty noise. Best described as a hybrid of dream pop, slowcore and cosmic American music the band features Arrica Rose (Arrica Rose & the …’s, Dear County) on keys and vocals, Mark W. Lynn (Dead Sound, Dear County, Uranium 9-volt) on guitar and vocals, Noah Phillips (Perfect Loss) on guitar and backing vocals, Paul Abueg-Igaz (Fast Execution) on drums and percussion, and Alex Velasquez on bass (Fast Execution, Smile Too Much). 

Though Arrica and Mark recently relocated to LA for family reasons, Winter Animals is still maintaining a long distance relationship - playing shows in both the north and south of the state and currently finishing up their debut LP, slated for release this fall.
